Thank you to everyone who came to see our Christmas Show on Dec 11 & 12 at the beautiful Dominion Chalmers in Ottawa's downtown. We'd love to hear what you thought! [email protected].

Thank you also and congrats to all our guest men and women singers, and a big shout-out to the Béatrice-Desloges Jazz Band lead by the talented Richard Hardy!

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We had a great turnout for our first Christmas Show Rehearsal. 100 men & women on the risers! What a fantastic sound! The group consisted of approximately 35 women and 65 men, including 8 couples! Looking for a fun night out with your partner? Drop by next Monday for more fun. See our "Sing on our Christmas Show" page for details.

The Chorus is packing up preaparing to head to Belleville for the 2015 Ontario District Fall Convention. On Saturday, at about 12:20pm, we will be taking to the stage. We have 2 really great songs to sing at this annual contest and about 50 excited guys who have spent months learning the songs, learning the choreo moves, perfecting the key changes, and getting ready to show our fellow barbershoppers what the Capital City Chorus is all about!

Home Free was a big hit with our audience at our Show on Saturday with their enjoyable, toe-tapping harmonies and chest-rumbling bass and beats! Thanks to the vocal band for including our show on their "Don't if Feel Good" tour. A huge thanks to our amazing audiences for coming to the show and giving both the Chorus and Home Free a warm and enthusiastic welcome to the stage. Thanks also to the Algonquin Common Theatre crews for providing a great venue and show support. A special thanks to our volunteers who supported the Chorus and the Band, keeping us fed, happy, and on schedule.

The Chorus was busy Thursday evening putting its finishing touches on our set for this weekend's show. We're all looking forward to having Home Free join us on our stage and to welcoming our audience to the Matinee and Evening shows. Haven't got your tickets yet? See the show page to get tickets or pick them up at the box office before the show. Doors open 30 minutes before each show.

15 members of the Capital City Chorus went to Harmony Ranch in Baldwin, ON on August 8 for the 2015 Ontario Quartetting Event (OQE). After a brief rainfall while we were in the 'Woodshed' barn for our morning chorus warm-up, the weather cleared and we individually progressed through 5 of a possible 17 stations where we met up with 3 other randomly-selected barbershoppers who had prepared the same 8 songs, forming a pick-up quartet. At the end of the day, a draw took place to determine 17 randomly-configured pick-up quartets and one of the 8 songs.
