Capital Blend Quartet formed when 4 members of the Capital City Chorus came together as a pick-up quartet to sing for the 50th anniversary celebration of Elizabeth Park Public School in 2013. The sound was good, the guys had a lot of fun, and it wasn't long before the quartet became official!

Since then, the quartet has performed at a variety of venues, including birthday parties, weddings, variety shows, and charity events. Capital Blend Quartet has also represented the Capital City Chorus at district-level competitions in 2015 and 2016, ranking among the top 10 quartets in the Ontario district of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Capital Blend Quartet entertains audiences with songs, both old and new, in the barbershop (a capella four part close harmony) style. Bill Hawken (Bass), Alex Mirhady (Baritone), Fraser Gordon (Lead) and Hari Gupta (Tenor) blend their voices to create the ringing expanded sound that's unique to the Barbershop style.
